Plot: This film recreates the strange events which happened November 5, 1975 in the town Snowflake, Arizona. Travis Walton works as a logger in the woods. When he and his colleagues drive home after work, they encounter an UFO. For the next five days Travis disappears and his colleagues are accused of murder. When he reappears, first he didn’t remember that he was gone, but in time the terrible memories come back…

For those of you that believe in God, do you also believe that….?
….the prophet Elijah, so the Bible says, was taken to Heaven on a chariot of fire from the banks of the River Jordan? Sorry, I just want to repeat that: a man was taken from the desert, up into the sky, on a burning chariot (I am not sure if there were any flying horses, or whether or not they too would have been on fire)

I believe everything in the bible. But I’m wondering if this is imagery, as used in the book of Revelation. Did the writer of this use "chariot of fire" as a description because he didn’t know exactly how to describe what he saw? Unsure.

Nope. You might want to read the story again. He was taken up by a whirlwind, not on the chariot.
